Map, Charts and TablesWelcome to the Wildfire Risk Explorer mapping and reporting tools. Use the tools in the menu at the upper left to create your own maps, charts and tables. You may use the tools for any area within Oregon using our collection of wildfire datasets.
For Making Charts and Tables, the statistics are based on the "Community At Risk: Overall Rating" raster. "The Community At Risk: Overall Rating" is a raster grid covering the state of Oregon, with a pixel size of 100 by 100 feet. Each pixel has a value of 1, 2 or 3 which corresponds to a rating of low, medium or high respectively. For example, the Community At Risk: Overall Rating grid shows that for the Bend City community there are 1502 acres rated as low risk, 12377 acres rated at medium risk, and 4239 acres rated at high risk.
This should not be confused with the “Community Name and Rating” vector layer. This layer that shows the boundary of each community and the rating that community has (low, medium or high). For example, the Community Name and Rating layer shows the boundary of the Bend City community and the fact that the whole community is rated at high risk.
