2009  Compressed County Mosaics (CCM)

The State of Oregon has received Compressed County Mosaics (CCM) from the Summer 2009 NAIP flights.  Preliminary CCM's are available for all 36 counties as zip files through DAS/GEO - State of Oregon's FTP site (native UTM projection).  For more information please contact Cy Smith at cy.smith@state.or.us.   

2005 Half-meter Orthoimagery 

The Oregon Imagery Explorer serves Oregon’s 2005 half-meter orthoimagery reconstructed from aerial photographs acquired in the summer of 2005. Other imagery including satellite data is also served.  

The original Oregon 2005 half-meter orthoimagery is in Digital Orthophoto Quadrangle (DOQ) format and has a spatial resolution of a half-meter.   The specifications for the original imagery are:

The photos were taken between 6/29 and 8/15 of 2005.  For more information on the exact dates of the various DOQs, please see the zipped shapefile. For the purposes of serving this very large (i.e., approximately 4.1 terabyte) imagery dataset online, a statewide mosaic of the original DOQs has been reprojected into geographic coordinates (WGS84) and has undergone ER Mapper Compressed Wavelet (ECW) compression at a 9:1 ratio. Using the Image Viewing and Extraction Tool, the mosaic can be extracted in geoTIFF format or ECW, JPEG, and GeoJP2 (JPEG 2000) formats at different compression ratios.   Please note if you extract the imagery in a different format besides compressed 9:1 ECW, the image has been first uncompressed (but not restored to its original condition) and then given to you in geoTIFF, JPEG or GeoJP2(JPEG 2000) format.  The specifications for the extracted imagery are:
