Partners: Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, CREST, City of Cannon Beach, Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Oregon Department of Transportation, Willamette Industries, Weyerhaeuser Company, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Oregon Department of Forestry.
This project, which was completed in 2003, placed eleven pieces of large woody debris in the West Fork of Ecola Creek. The wood will slow stream velocities, trap and sort spawning gravels, and provide summer habitat for juvenile coho salmon. The total cost of the project was $12,000.
