Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP) are developed by communities in areas at-risk from wildfire. The planning process is the collaboration between communities and agencies interested in reducing wildfire risk.
As of December 2009, Oregon has 54 completed CWPPs. Oregon has both community and county level CWPPs and most all counties are either in progress, completed or embarking on revising their plans. Planning efforts are not progressing in Coos County or Multnomah County.
All current CWPPs may be found online from the Oregon Department of Forestry.
