Oregon Century Farm and Ranch Program

The Oregon Century Farm and Ranch Program was established in 1958 to honor the state's rich agricultural heritage by awarding farm and ranch families with sesquicentennial and century-long connections to the land. Oregon has one of the oldest agricultural heritage programs of this type in the entire nation.

The Program is a statewide recognition program honoring farmers and ranchers who have worked the same land for at least 100 years. To date, over 1,000 families have formally received the Century designation and 28 families have received the Sesquicentennial (150 years) award.

The program is administered through the Oregon Farm Bureau Foundation for Education and is partially funded through a partnership of the Oregon Farm Bureau, Wilco, Oregon State Historic Preservation Office, and Oregon State University Special Collections and Archives Research Center.
