Surfrider Foundation

The Surfrider Foundation operates through a network of grassroots chapters who take volunteer action to protect our ocean, waves and beaches through campaigns, programs and educational initiatives in their communities. There are four chapters in Oregon: Portland, Newport, Siuslaw and Coos Bay. The Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) is the Surfrider Foundation's volunteer-run, water testing, education and advocacy program. Chapters use this program to alert citizens and officials about water quality problems in the local coastal community.
