Coastal Observation & Seabird Survey Team (COASST)

The Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) is a citizen science project housed at the University of Washington. COASST trains coastal residents in their communities. Post-training, participants pledge to conduct monthly surveys. At present, three basic types of data are collected: 1) beachcast birds, 2) marine debris, and 3) evidence of human use of the beach environment. From the COASST website, you can view the data in map, table and list forms.

IMAP User Group

The Interagency Mapping and Assessment Project (IMAP) effort is an interagency cooperative building data and models for integrated landscape planning and analysis in Oregon and Washington.  The IMAP cooperative began in 2006 as a research and development project designed to find integrated approaches to understanding how natural disturbances, vegetation dynamics and management activities interact across large landscapes.

Mapping of Ecological Systems for Pacific Northwest GAP (NWGAP)

The Landscape Ecology, Modeling, Mapping, and Analysis (LEMMA) team and collaborators mapped Ecological Systems in the Pacific Northwest for the Gap Analysis Project (GAP). The LEMMA website provides access to the maps, technical reports, presentations and posters for this project.
