Business Model for Outpatient Imaging Center

Description:
North Idaho Medical Village was looking to expand its services and offer the community an alternative facility for MRI scans. Currently, the majority of MRI scans are being done at Bonner General Hospital where the price of an MRI is significantly increased due to being done in a hospital setting, or patients can drive an hour to a free-standing imaging center in Post Falls, Idaho. This project examined the demographics of the local community, conducted a medical market assessment, and performed a SWOT analysis to determine if an outpatient imaging center was warranted. This project also conducted an MRI machine comparison and performed a cost analysis to determine if this project was feasible. Afterward, a business model for an outpatient imaging center was created. This project provides sufficient evidence that an outpatient imaging center would be successful.
