This study was written for the Defenders of Wildlife and the Willamette Basin Conservation Project. Defenders of Wildlife contracted with an independent researcher to interview private landowners as part of the Willamette Basin Conservation Project.The purpose of the interviews was to understand the constraints and opportunities landowners face in conservation and to identify ways to improve landowner assistance programs.
